The idea of a bike Show and Shine is cool.
Places down in LA do this kind of thing quite well, and I think it’s time that things spread out a bit to places like the Island. Skull Skates agrees, apparently, and they held one such event at their new Qualicum Beach shop over the weekend.
As with anything new, there aren’t going to be a lot of people who hear about it until the word gets out. While this Skull Skates event only had a few bikes on display, there were some cool retro BMXs and things you’d see on Stranger Things for folks to check out.
While these kinds of bikes aren’t specifically my scene, it was still cool to pop by and see people being stoked on bikes.
Hopefully this idea spreads and we can have as many bike show and shines as we do classic car show and shines.
