Kat has been working at Edmonton's Western Cycle for two years. One of the first things she did was buy her Norco Indie. It's an awesome exploration bike and she's been customizing it ever since. She's got a custom frame bag, purple accents and a sturdy axiom rack.

This bike, named Indica, looks absolutely ready to get lost in the woods. With nice wide Continental tires, racks, bags, mountain bike handling and a beautiful grey frame. Shimano Alivio makes it go and Shimano hydraulic disc brakes make it stop. I like the little finishing touches like the colour-changing purple pedals, the kid's bell, the custom frame bag, rack and the great light.

"I named her Indica before I realized that it was a strain of pot," says Kat. "Now that's all I think about when I talk about her."

My favourite thing about this bike is how much of Kat is in it. It really has imbued a lot of its owner. Kat's an adventurous type who isn't afraid to be herself. This bike shows that. Kat's choice of stickers definitely show that this is her bike. A sasquatch on the head tube, an "M" for her last name and a few more subtle touches make it really pop.

Come by Western Cycle and say hi.
