I finally got enough gear to go out bike camping. Yeah, bike camping. I say that because the latest bit of gear I’ve gotten was a tent, which I’ll also use for backpacking. I dunno, the distinction makes a bit of sense to me.
Anyway, I had a few minutes yesterday and decided to put it all together. I put the MSR Hubba Hubba 2 tent (review coming eventually) into the Blackburn seat bag (also coming soon). I was also able to fit my MEC sleeping pad and a small pillow in there. The frame bag would hold some snacks. I found a sketchy way to mount my sleeping bag on the front, and tossed my Outershell bar bag on for good measure.
I think so far the only thing I’d add is a stem caddy, but I need to make one first. (That’s also coming soon).
It rode nicely, wasn’t too heavy and 'I’m excited to try it out for real.
