My uncle has had this bike since it was brand new, sometime in the 90s.

He’s used it all over the western part of this country, from commuting in Calgary to getting groceries in the Comox Valley. It was due for a tune up, so I was happy to help him out.

The update also included putting on some riser bars, and subsequently changing the shifters. The only issue I found was that the original shifters didn’t play well with the angle of the bars, so we had to find a replacement. Eventually, they showed up, and the change was made.

Cleaning the bike did so much, and from there it just needed some minor adjustments.

Now it’s ready to be on the road for another three decades.
