This bike has been my most… enigmatic… bike that I’ve had for the past few years.

I can never quite decide what it’s going to be. I wanted it to be a single speed mountain bike, back in its first iteration. Then I moved, and needed more gears. Then the gears weren’t quite quick enough and it felt like a slog to ride at the same clip as my other bikes. Then I wasn’t loving the bars… felt like something was missing between the bars and the wheel.

Then I got a basket.

Now this bike is my super commuter/chill ride truck.

It’s crazy how just adding that one component can completely change how you feel about a bike. The basket addition did almost nothing to change how the bike rode, but it just completely changed the vibe.

Now this bike is made to go slow, made to explore at a near walking pace, made to rip over to the farmers market and carry snax to the watering hole, made to ride over to the brewery, made to get those last few groceries that you missed.

It’s my version of the urban single speed, but decidedly less urban than other bikes of that genre. It still gets muddy, still can tackle roots and dirt, but it also cruises the city streets and is fun to ride.

Dumpster bikes man, they never disappoint.
